Coconut Ceniza · Table Lamp in Natural Coconut Leaf
The Soul of the Piece
Some designs illuminate a space. And there are others that seem to tell a story.
Designed under the philosophy of patience and artisanal craftsmanship, this piece is born from the encounter between the strength of the coconut leaf and the delicacy of a hand-woven cotton sphere.
More than a decorative object, it is a luminous sculpture that conveys calm, balance, and organic beauty.
A piece that invites you to contemplate light in a different way.
The essence of Ceniza
Origin
Each piece is born in a small family workshop in Bali, Indonesia. The structure takes advantage of the natural fall of the coconut palm leaf, selected and molded by heat to achieve its characteristic organic twist. A tribute to artisan design where the raw material dictates the final form.
Material
Carefully selected and treated coconut palm leaf to preserve its flexibility and resistance, with an ash-grey finish that highlights the beauty of its natural veins. The central sphere is made of hand-tensioned cotton threads, creating an organic diffuser that gently filters the light.
Support base with subtle wooden feet.
Design and texture
The protagonist is a single leaf that curves in an enveloping and symmetrical way, embracing the luminous sphere in a gesture of balance and protection. Its visible veins under the ash-grey finish, the subtle marks of heat in the molding, and the softness of the cotton create a dialogue between two completely different materials that complement each other perfectly.
Shade
At rest, the leaf reveals an elegant ash-grey tone with mineral nuances that reveal its natural veins and the history of the plant fiber. Its sober finish provides depth and character, making it a sculptural piece even when turned off. When lit, the cotton sphere emerges as a core of warm light that softly contrasts with the grey depth of the leaf, creating a balance between the serenity of stone tones and the warmth of the inner glow.
Atmosphere
Its lighting is soft, enveloping, and glare-free. The cotton sphere diffuses a warm light that creates an intimate and cozy atmosphere, while the ash tone of the leaf provides visual depth and frames the glow with discreet elegance. Even when turned off, it retains a strong sculptural presence that enriches the space.
Where it finds its place
Due to its scale and visual lightness, it integrates perfectly on a side table in the living room, an entrance sideboard, or as a poetic light point on the bedside table, adding character without overwhelming the space.
Authenticity
The identity of this piece lies in its natural origin. Being an authentic plant leaf, each lamp presents genuine variations in its curvature, veins, and exact dimensions, ensuring that your piece is completely unique.
STYLES AND AFFINITY
Its sculptural presence and ash finish find affinity with Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, Contemporary Minimalist, Warm Industrial, and Organic Modern environments. The combination of the visual depth of the ash finish and the softness of the interior light provides balance and serenity, making it an ideal piece for spaces that seek natural materials, authentic textures, and a contemporary aesthetic with character.
It also dialogues with Mid Century Modern and Contemporary Mediterranean interiors, where it functions as a focal point that adds visual depth without losing lightness.
